Cameroon Northwest Women of Georgia (CAMNOWGA) was founded in 2016. A 501-C 3 organization in Atlanta, Georgia. As a nonprofit organization, we advocate for economic women empowerment and foster, support, and promote programs supporting women and children. In addition, we aim to promote and preserve our rich African cultural heritage.

In the past two years, our homeland country of Cameroon has faced tumultuous political instability, leaving thousands of women and children internally displaced as refugees in the North West and South West regions. Taking up this banner of compassion to help Cameroon's West African population is a choice we, as women and mothers, make due to these occurrences.

Our passion is celebrating and promoting our rich African culture and influencing lives here in the United States of America and Cameroon. By sharing our time, talents, and treasures in our communities, we strive to become a beacon of hope and strength.

Additionally, we will provide a network where members can assist, educate, and provide employment opportunities for Northwest women living in Georgia, as well as an environment where our children can learn about our culture and beliefs.

Mission

Our mission is to enhance and promote socio-cultural awareness, education, and growth within the Cameroon Northwest Woman residing in Georgia in the United States and in Cameroon.
